Each migrant has their own story to tell.

This project celebrates the people - and the journeys - which have shaped our City.

The City of Gosnells community is highly diverse with over 150 different languages spoken throughout the district.

In 2021, nearly 44% of people living in the City of Gosnells were born overseas with 1,452 new naturalised citizens in 2023-2024.

We are looking for new migrants or children and grandchildren of migrants, who would like to share their migration stories and experiences with us to include in an exhibition in 2027.

If you, or a family member, have a migration story you'd be willing to share, please fill out this contact survey and we'll be in touch with you soon.  Alternatively, please call the Museum on 93973144.

The City's Museum has a large collection of photographs, documents and objects that tell the stories of many of the people who call the City of Gosnells district home but it doesn't show the real cultural diversity of our community.  Weaving Diversity into City of Gosnells Heritage is a project that will, over time, change that and make sure the City shares the experiences of more people who live and work in our community.
