Underground Sounds is our annual music competition for young people in the City of Gosnells.

This competition isn’t just about rock music, nor is it limited to bands.

Open to all styles, (rap, folk, indie, hip hop, electronic, country, metal etc) Underground Sounds is all about promoting and supporting local young musicians! Each year this fierce competition sees some of the best local acts battle it out to claim first place and be crowned UNDERGROUND SOUNDS WINNERS!

Location: The Underground Youth Centre, 2 Holmes St, Southern River

Winners of this competition don't leave empty handed! To speed the champions on their way to musical glory the top 3 finalists will receive an epic amount of money!

1st Prize: $1500*

2nd Prize: $750*

3rd Prize: $500*

Competition Entry

Underground Sounds is free to enter and open to young people aged 12 – 25 who live, study or work within the City of Gosnells (for bands at least one member must fulfil this requirement). Entrants will be assessed by a selection committee to determine which six talented acts make it to the final competition. Click the button below to enter!
