He’s toured with global superstars Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5, and now Australian singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell has his sights set on Thornlie.

Since taking the music scene by storm in 2015 with his chart-topping hit Start Again – which earned him an ARIA Award for ‘Song of the Year’ – Conrad has built a successful career, performing at major music festivals including Coachella.

Now back on home soil, Conrad is bringing the second leg of his Australian tour, Firestone 10th Anniversary – Acoustic Sessions, to the City of Gosnells, with a live performance at Don Russell Performing Arts Centre (DRPAC) in Thornlie.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said it was a privilege to host an act of Conrad’s calibre for the local community.

“We’re thrilled to welcome top-tier performers like Conrad to DRPAC,” Mayor Lynes said. “For those lucky enough to get tickets, this will be a truly special performance.”

Touching down in WA later this month, Conrad is looking forward to connecting with local fans and performing a more ‘stripped back’ version of his biggest hits.

“I'm excited to play these songs in a way that I've never had the chance to before,” Conrad said.

“A lot of them were written acoustically, so to be able to strip them back to their essence feels awesome. Seeing the fans connecting with and singing these songs back to me, when performed in their rawest form, is super special, too.”

Conrad is set to perform at DRPAC on Thursday 31 July, in just one of three WA shows on this Australian tour.
