Dig in to make a difference to the local environment, at the City of Gosnells Give Our Bushland a Boost event in Huntingdale on Sunday 15 June, from 9am to 12pm.
Community members are invited to help the City and Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group members plant 5,000 native seedlings at Cardington Way Reserve in Huntingdale.
Mayor Terresa Lynes said volunteers could stay the whole morning or pop in for a short time.
“It’s always a fun, family-friendly atmosphere at Give Our Bushland A Boost, as everyone comes together to get their hands dirty and improve our local bushland areas,” she said.
“Planting more trees and seedlings in the City will make our suburbs more comfortable and enjoyable to live in, while improving habitat for local wildlife.”
A sausage sizzle will be provided to reward the hard work of volunteers.
Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and bring a water bottle and gloves. Meet at the registration tent at the reserve, opposite Kelvedon Way.
