Creative Older Kids for 5-9 years

Join the Creative Kids adventure – where art and craft sparks imagination and joy!

Each week, dive into exciting, themed activities and crafty adventures. This program helps children build confidence and develop social skills such as sharing. They'll also learn to use a variety of craft tools like scissors and paintbrushes, all while unleashing their creativity. It’s a fantastic way for you and your child to bond and explore new skills together!
 

Program Specifics and Requirements 

   🎨 This program is tailored for children aged 5 - 9 years. Children in this age range are eligible to register for this program.

   🎨 Parents are to remain for the entirety of the program to participate and supervise their children. 

   🎨 We understand parents may be required to care for more than one child. As such, no fees apply to children in prams who require care by the supervising adult attending the program.  

Creative Kids Days and Times

All Youth and Families programs do not operate on Western Australian public holidays, as listed on the Government of Western Australia's website.

Creative Kids: School Terms

The 'Creative Kids' and 'Creative Older Kids' programs run for 8-9 weeks during the school term, with all classes being held at Huntingdale Community Centre, Huntingdale. 

Creative Kids does not operate during the school holidays. 

Specialised activities are often organised during the school holidays. These activities are often listed in the Creative Kids program page and advertised on our City of Gosnells Children and Families Facebook page.

Registering your child into a Creative Older Kids class

Below are the steps involved in registering your child into a class. 

1. Check you are registering into the suitable age-appropriate class. If you do not want to register your child into this Creative Older Kids (5-9 years) class, you may want to consider visiting the Creative Kids (2-4 years) class webpage. 
2. Review the City of Gosnells' Community Engagement Programs Cancellation Policy document before proceeding to registration. 
3. Purchase a ticket to secure a place into the program for the term via the TryBooking event (hyperlinked below).
    - Note: a TryBooking account is not needed to purchase a ticket

Parents may want to consider registering their child into Art Studio, a youth term-based art program supporting young people aged 10–18 years.

• Participants are encouraged from attending if they are unwell at the time of the event/program.
• Limits on event/program registrations help ensure participants get the most out of the experience, while supporting the health and wellbeing of both participants and staff.
• For the comfort and safety of everyone, steps may be taken to ensure venue capacity limits are followed.

Short-Notice Changes to Programs/Events (including Cancellations)

Facilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance. In the event of unexpected circumstances, such as inclement weather or illness, scheduled programs may be subject to alteration or postponement at short notice.
