Bush Walk and Op-Shopping

The Holiday Mayhem: Bush Walk and Op-Shopping excursion offers the perfect mix of nature, social connection and fun. 

Participants will be first transported to the Kalamunda Hills and take a bush walk together, where you can take in the scenic surroundings, get active, and enjoy time outdoors with the group. After working up an appetite, we will stop for a picnic - so bring along something tasty to eat. To wrap up the day, we'll visit local op shops where each participant will be given $20 to spend, giving you the chance to hunt for unique finds, express your style, and make the most of a budget. 

The Holiday Mayhem: Bush Walk and Op-Shopping is a great opportunity to try something new, connect with others, and enjoy a day out in nature. 
 

Excursion specifics and registration requirements

   🚶🏽‍♀️ Participants aged 10-18 years are eligible to register for this excursion. Those who do not meet this requirement will have their registration cancelled. 

   🚶🏽‍♀️ Registered participants will meet at The Castle at 9:00am before heading to Kalamunda. Parents/guardians will be responsible for sourcing alternative transport if participants are late. 

   🚶🏽‍♀️ It is essential for registered participants to:

• wear socks and enclosed shoes (suitable for hiking)
• bring a rain jacket and umbrella (if rain is forecasted on the day of the excursion)
• bring and take sun protection measures (wearing hats and sunscreen)
• a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day's activities

   🚶🏽‍♀️Participants will need to bring their own lunch.

1. Review the City of Gosnells' Community Engagement Programs Cancellation Policy before proceeding to registering into the excursion.

Registered but unable to attend?

Holiday Mayhem excursions and workshops are very popular and in high demand. If registered participants are no longer able to attend, please cancel their place(s) as soon as possible to allow another eager young person the opportunity to attend. Thank you.
