Katherine Allum Author Talk: Write What You Know

August 2025 is "Love to Read Local" Month, a state-wide celebration of WA's many wonderful writers, poets, authors, novelists, and illustrators.

Presented by Katherine Allum, author of The Skeleton House (Fremantle Press, winner of the 2023 Fogarty Literary Award and shortlisted for the 2025 WA Premier's Book Award). Katherine will speak about growing up in a tiny Mormon town outside Las Vegas and how staying true to authentic details can open us to universal human experiences. An event for book lovers, fellow writers, or anyone curious to know if roadrunners actually go 'meep meep'.

Katherine will also bring copies of her books to the event, for purchasing and signing by the author.
