In collaboration with the Gosnells Community Legal Centre, Gosnells Library is proud to present Lawyer in the Library – a series of free weekly informational sessions on legal topics.

Join us at the Library to learn about tenancy laws, family law, and financial counselling from local lawyers. Each week will be dedicated to a different aspect of law and how it impacts you, as follows:

 Week 1 - October 10th Financial counselling (The Cost-of-Living Crisis crunch) and Tenancy (Starting and ending tenancy, and understanding your tenancy agreement)

Week 2 - October 17th Family Law (Wills, guardianship, and the role of the executor)

Week 3 - October 24th Tenancy (Rent increases, rent arrears, and rent reductions)

Week 4 - October 31st Family Law (Family Violence Restraining Orders)

Week 5 - November 7th Tenancy (Bond release, bond top-ups, and paying the bond before you move in)

Week 6 - November 14th Family Law (Divorce)

Week 7 - November 21st Tenancy (Pets and modifications)

Week 8 - November 28th Family Law (Property settlement)

Lawyer in the Library sessions will take place at Gosnells Library on Thursdays from 11.30am to 12.30pm every week.
