Sheila Twine is back delivering this light-hearted, humorous, but informative presentation which tells the anguish and epidemics of London in the1800’s as a city of exploding population and overcrowded living conditions which all contributed to the “Great Stink”. The Thames and small tributaries were polluted, and disease and deaths were rampant. This presentation will have you hearing stories of filth, odours as well as the solution of a universal sewage system.
