Underground Sounds is our annual music competition for young people in the City of Gosnells, with a legacy spanning 37 years! Come and see our talented local youth battle for the top spot and epic prizes. Underground Sounds is a drug and alcohol-free event. 

About Underground Sounds

The Underground Sounds competition isn’t just about rock music, nor is it limited to bands. Open to all styles, (rap, folk, indie, hip hop, electronic, country, metal etc) Underground Sounds is all about promoting and supporting local young musicians! Each year this fierce competition sees some of the best local acts battle it out to claim first place and be crowned UNDERGROUND SOUNDS WINNERS!

Get Ready to Have a Great Time!

This year's Underground Sounds Final will be held on Saturday, 6 December at The Underground Youth Centre.  As finalists battle for the top spot and prize money, attendees will be spoilt with 5 hours of entertainment. Nibbles will also be available. 
 

Headline Act

Ricky Neil Jr. @rickyneiljr an electrifying Noongar artist (from Kinjarling (Albany)) whose powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence light up every performance. From rocking sold-out headline shows to sharing stages with acts like Donny Benet and South Summit, Ricky Neil Jr. is known to bring unstoppable energy and passion to Australia’s live music scene.

• Finalists will be showcasing their talent on a live stage. Elements such as loud music, dim lighting, smoke/haze machines and the use of flash or strobe effects are all integral parts of creating the dynamic and immersive atmosphere of live performances. Patrons will be responsible for taking the appropriate precautions to manage their conditions if they are affected by these elements. 

  NOTE: earplugs will be available during the event.

• Underground Sounds Music Competition Final is an all-ages friendly event. To maintain a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, this event is both drug and alcohol-free.
