Youth Basketball Scrimmage Competition

Join us for an exciting day of hoops and high energy at the Basketball Scrimmage at YES Plaza! This friendly yet competitive event brings together local ballers of all levels to showcase skills, build community, and enjoy the game we all love.

Whether you're playing or cheering from the sidelines, it’s the perfect way to connect, compete and celebrate basketball. No formal teams, no pressure — just pure passion and pick-up play. Youth workers will also be in attendance. 
 

Competition specifics and registration requirements

   🏀  Teams of three (3) with players aged 10-21 years are eligible to enter the half-court competition.

   🏀 Entry is free however team registrations are required prior to the start of the competition:

• Paper-based sign-in registrations will be open from 3pm
• No team? No problem! Individual players will be allocated to a team on the day
• Approximate competition start time is 3.30pm.

   🏀 Players are responsible for:

• wearing appropriate, enclosed footwear for playing basketball.
• bringing and using sun protection (wearing hats and sunscreen). 
• supplying their own water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the competition.

We look forward to seeing players bring their A-game to the court - and the cheer squads bringing the energy to keep the atmosphere buzzing!

• Participants are discouraged from attending if they are unwell at the time of the event/program.
• Limits on event/program registrations help ensure participants get the most out of the experience, while supporting the health and wellbeing of both participants and staff.

Facilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance. In the event of unexpected circumstances, such as inclement weather or illness, scheduled programs may be subject to alteration to postponement at short notice.
