Time to boogie with Soul Spectacular

Groove to the sounds of the Motown era, as the City of Gosnells presents the Milford Street Shakers for its Boogie in the Big Top Soul Spectacular on Saturday 4 July.

This 11-piece R&B band will have the 500-capacity audience moving to the music of Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

Mayor David Goode said the further lifting of COVID-19 restrictions gave the community a new sense of freedom and cause for celebration.

“Our community needs some ‘feel good’ fun and while we often focus our events on families and children, adults deserve a night out too,” the Mayor said.

“The City’s Maddaganza school holiday carnival will be happening from Saturday 4 to Wednesday 8 July at the Maddington Recreation Ground, so for one night only, we’ll transform the ‘big top’ for this special event.

“The Milford Street Shakers deliver an amazing live show and their dynamic and energetic performance will get people up and dancing – it really will be a Soul Spectacular.”

Have a go on the Dream Swinger ride, enjoy a bite to eat from our local food trucks before or after the show or relax with a drink from our pop-up licensed bar.

Gates open at 7.30pm, with the show starting at 8.30pm and there will be no reserved seating.
