In addition to the captivating live cultural performances and roving entertainment to engage the young and young at heart, the Fusion Food and Culture Festival offers more of what you love with a vibrant range of attractions and activities to celebrate our multicultural community, including:

  • Global Village – a vibrant blend of market stalls offering traditional cultural displays and interactive demonstrations from a variety of countries.  Experience community led, cultural entertainment on the Viva stage and wander through the stalls to engage with some of the unique and diverse traditions that bring our community together.  

 

  • Food Trucks – over 40 food vendors offering sensational cuisine from around the world

 

  • Sideshow Alley – carnival rides to delight the whole family, from toddlers to thrill seekers.  Tickets for rides are subsidised by the City of Gosnells. Available on site at the ticket booths - 3 x tickets for $10. Most rides are 1 to 2 tickets each.  Please note, refunds will not be provided on ride tickets.  We recommend getting in early to beat the queues for rides so you and the family can have a go as many times as you like before the fireworks begin.

     

  • Children’s and Youth Zones – opportunities to explore and learn through play, socialising and a chill out space for teens.  Visit the webpage to find out more. 

     

  • The Whale - features a graceful, suspended whale surrounded by fantastical creatures, storytelling, an enchanting original score, and a stunning lightscape.       This interactive experience celebrates the beauty of whales, their role in our ecosystem, and the myths and stories they inspire across cultures.  The Whale is a breathtaking 15-meter-long immersive puppetry experience designed by Leon Hendroff in collaboration with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and Curtin University Theatre Arts students.

 

  • Global Safari – A menagerie of animatronic animals from around the world are waiting to be discovered at the Global Safari.  Encounter an elephant, tiger, cheeky monkey and more, and learn interesting facts along the way.

 

  • Global Safari Passport – For the first time at Fusion Food and Culture Festival Explore the Fusion Food and Culture Festival in a new way.  Grab a passport and travel the festival collecting stamps along the way. Complete your passport and enter the draw for the chance to win a prize.

 

  • Silent Disco by DRPAC - Get your groove on in the Silent Disco tent, boogie to old and new hits and dance like no one is watching! Organised by the team from the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre.

     

  • History and Heritage Photo Booth - Be transported to the 1930s and dress up in your best glad rags!  Join the City’s Heritage team at the photo booth tent where you can try on a costume and be a part of history. 

     

  • Emergency Services – come and say 'hi' to our local heroes, Gosnells SES, and test your CPR skills at the St John Ambulance Community Engagement tent.
