Mini concertgoers ‘wiggled’ their way around the Civic Centre Gardens on Saturday as crowds turned out in their droves to enjoy the City of Gosnells free Junior Jam concert.
Attracting a bumper crowd of about 5,000 children and their families, the inaugural kids’ concert marked a successful close to the City’s jam-packed 2024/25 events season.
Show headliners Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword didn’t disappoint, getting the crowd up on their feet to dance and sing along to hit favourites Rock-A-Bye Your Bear, Hot Potato, Do the Propeller and more.
Other performers included Ricochet Circus, Parties Kids Remember and lovable mascots The Lulus, Spike the Sporty Lizard and cheeky hand puppet Fin the Lovable Shark, who engaged the crowd with their fun, playful show.
In between performances, there were a variety of kids’ activities to keep the little ones entertained, including a bouncy castle and circus tent where kids could try their hand at different tricks.
“It was fantastic to see so many families enjoy this free event right in the heart of Gosnells,” Mayor Terresa Lynes said.
“Junior Jam ended the City’s summer events season with a bang, and we would love to bring it back next year – so watch this space!”
Junior Jam was presented by the City of Gosnells and sponsored by Lotterywest.
