Feast your eyes on hundreds of artworks at the City of Gosnells Community Art Exhibition and Awards from Saturday 21 May to Sunday 29 May.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said this year was one of the largest Community Art Exhibitions held by the City, having attracted an impressive 226 entries.

“As always, the artworks entered in this year’s Community Art Exhibition and Awards are varied, vibrant and definitely worth a look,” she said.

“With entries from professional and budding artists across the City and further afield, they are a fantastic reflection of the depth and diversity of our local arts scene and local community.”

Award winners will be announced on Friday 20 May and the artist who wins the acquisitive Overall Prize will receive $5,000.

A $500 prize is being offered for each of the following eight categories:

  • Acrylic
  • Pastel, Pencil, Pen and Watercolour
  • Oil
  • Photography and Digital Media
  • Mixed Media and Three-Dimensional Sculpture
  • Youth Award (12 – 17 years)
  • The City in Focus Award
  • Local Artist Award (City of Gosnells residents only)

Visitors to the exhibition are invited to vote for their favourite piece of art for the Primewest People’s Choice Award, with the winner to receive a $500 prize.

Most artworks will be available for purchase.

Entry is free and the exhibition is open 10am to 4pm Mondays to Saturdays, and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays.
