Gosnells residents are set to have ‘snow much fun’ with the City’s annual free Christmas event, Jingle All the Way, on Saturday 9 December.

From 5pm until 9pm, the Civic Centre Gardens and Centennial Pioneer Park will transform into a magical Christmas extravaganza, with Santa and Mrs Claus, roving performers, carollers, Christmas crafts and activities, songs and pocket performances – and a return visit from the Grinch.

A new attraction this year will be the beautiful Snow Garden, with real snow, a giant snow slide and more.

The night will conclude with a family friendly concert headlined by popular Perth party band, Proof.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said Jingle All the Way was one of the City’s most popular events.

“So many people tell us that Jingle All the Way is one of their favourite activities on the City’s events calendar and this year’s festivities promise to be even better, offering fun and magic for families and people of all ages,” she said.

“Come along and explore the parkland with Santa and his helpers, follow the map that leads to a beautiful Winter Wonderland and uncover some surprises along the way.

“You can also tuck into some delicious festive fare at Food Truck Alley, have a free photo taken with Santa and sing along to Christmas carols and family favourites.”

Roaming performers on the night will include elves, candy cane stilt walkers, the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, Mrs Claus, glowing snow angels and carollers.

Activities dotted along the trail will include Story Time sessions, Christmas hat making, Letters to Santa and snow globe crafting.

The winners of the City’s annual Safe City Christmas Lights Competition will be announced on the night.

Mayor Lynes said the interactive Christmas trail was an easy 1.5km journey and wheelchair accessible.

“Everyone is welcome – come on down and bring your Christmas cheer,” she said.
