Have your say on Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

The City of Gosnells wants to hear from local people about its draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2024 – 2028 (DAIP), which will shape how the City delivers accessible programs, events, services and facilities.

The draft plan was developed following consultation with the local community, including people with disability and disability service providers, and is open for further feedback until Friday 26 April.

Mayor Terresa Lynes encourages local residents and other interested people to have their say on the priorities and recommendations outlined in the DAIP.

“The City is committed to ensuring that people with disability have the same opportunities as other people to access our services, facilities and information,” she said.

“The City already prioritises accessibility and inclusion, including in the ways we deliver programs and events, design and build City facilities and provide information to the community – and we are particularly proud of our progress toward building 10 all-abilities playgrounds across our suburbs.”

The draft DAIP is available on the City’s Your Say Gosnells site and there are a number of ways to have your say, including completing a short online survey or calling, emailing or writing to the City.
