National Tree Day
Calling all nature lovers and green thumbs - the City of Gosnells is looking for volunteers to get their hands dirty for a good cause to plant over 8,000 locally native seedlings at the annual National Tree Day community planting event.
Run in partnership with Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group, the mass planting event will be held on Sunday 27 July 2025 from 9am to 12pm at Tom Bateman Wetland in Thornlie and provides the opportunity for locals to meet like-minded people and do their bit for the environment.
The planting will go ahead rain or shine, with participants asked to dress appropriately for the weather and bring their own trowels, gloves,, gumboots and a water bottle.
Following the planting, volunteers are invited to stay for sausage sizzle provided by the City.

Note: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
