Plants for Locals
The City of Gosnells is offering residents up to 10 plants per household as part of our Plants for Locals program.
Sunday 4 May 2025 at Wilkinson Homestead, Gosnells.
This program is aimed at residents who wish to add some colour and biodiversity to their gardens, reduce water use in the garden, and attract native animals. All plants are native, with many being endemic to our region and waterwise.
Plants will be available in pre-selected packs - each contains 10 plants that have been selected for their common qualities or ideal planting location. The pack types available are verge plants, groundcover plants, trees/shrubs, and wildflowers.
Join us for a fun morning for the whole family. Weel have information stalls and interactive activities for the whole family, including tours through the Wilkinson Homestead Museum, soil sampling by EarthWhile Australia (bring your soil samples along to have a look under microscope), composting chats, planting demonstrations, craft activities and lawn games.
More Information: including details about registration, will be available on Your Say Gosnells Closer to the event date.
This initiative is made possible by Water Corporation's Greening Initiative grant and is delivered in partnership with the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group.
