Leisure World's award winning Swim School has been established since December 1993 and caters for the whole family.

Our Swim School is registered with Swim Australia and all teachers hold current industry qualifications. All staff have a Police Clearance and observe a Code of Conduct. A Working With Children Check is also part of the process for teaching at Leisure World Swim School.

An intensive 5 day program runs during July school holidays and two 9 day programs run during January school holidays. Classes cater for children as young as 3.8 years.

Enrolment Information

For information regarding ongoing program fees and availability you can fill out a Booking Enquiry Form or call the Swim School Office on 9251 8700 between:

• Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 6pm
• Saturday: 8am - 12pm. 

Weekly swimming lessons are ongoing and bookings can be made at any time.

Leisure World Swim School Membership:

• One 30 minute lesson per week
• Unlimited use of the recreation pool facilities 7 days per week
• Ongoing swimming lessons run 44 weeks per year - no need to re-enrol
• Enrol today - start tomorrow
• Progress to the next level as soon as skills are achieved - no need to wait until end of term
• Fortnightly direct debit payments - check our Calendar for your scheduled dates (highlighted yellow or orange depending on which fortnight you have started on)
• 5% discount on second and subsequent children from the same family
• Cancel anytime - 14 days' notice required
• Free use of member lockers

Leisure World Swim School:

• Free swimming assessments
• Access to our parent online portal - FirstClass- to follow student progress
• Classes to suit all ages and abilities from 6 months through to adults
• One on One classes available for students with special needs
• Creche service available Monday to Friday mornings

Fees

Cancellations

One of the benefits of our ongoing program include the ability to cancel and enrol at anytime.  Cancellations require 14 days written notice.  Please complete the attached Cancellation form and forward to the Swim School via email swimschool@gosnells.wa.gov.au.  As per our Terms & Conditions the City is not obliged to refund any portion of the member's fees.  No money will be refunded for direct debits that have already occurred.

Cancellations are not available for fixed terms bookings ie. Kidsport or Swim School holiday programs.

Medical Credits 

The Swim School offers credits for missed lessons due to unforeseen medical conditions.  A maximum of 2 credits per claim up to a maximum of 8 credits per year per student.  All claims require supporting medical certificates to be provided.  Medical certificates must relate to the student enrolled and cover the appropriate date period. 

To apply for a credit towards your next direct debit please complete the attached Medical Credit request form and forward to the Swim School via email swimschool@gosnells.wa.gov.au.

Leisure World recommends cancelling out of swimming lessons for any ongoing foreseen absences due to medical conditions.  No further credits will be given.

Free Assessments

If your child is new to lessons or if you are unsure about your child's grade, we recommend an appointment with our staff to discuss your child’s capabilities and receive a free skills assessment – we will then match you perfectly to our program. Bookings available Monday to Friday between 4pm and 5.45pm or Saturday mornings between 8am and 11.30am.  Please call to arrange an assessment 9251 8700.

Access and inclusion

Individual or group swimming lessons are available for children and adults living with a disability. Speak with one of our Swim School supervisors to discuss placement, as classes are limited. Cost of lessons can be invoiced to third party billers.  To waitlist your student for 2024 please complete our Special Needs Information form and Enrolment form and email to swimschool@gosnells.wa.gov.au.
