Swim School Levels

Parent & Child classes 

  • Squiddys 1     (6 to 12 months)
  • Squiddys 2     (12 to 18 months)
  • Squiddys 3     (18 to 24 months)
  • Jellyfish 1       (24 to 30 months)
  • Jellyfish 2       (30 months to 3 years)
  • Jellyfish 3       (3 years to 4 years)

Kindygems  (Independent, assessment required) 

  • Kindygems 1  (3 years 2 months to 4 years)
  • Kindygems 2  (must be competent in Kgems 1)

Learn to Swim  (4 years & up)

  • Stage 1 - For non-confident children who have had no previous aquatic experience - will learn to float and glide
  • Stage 2 - Students will learn freestyle arms and back stroke.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 1
  • Stage 3 - Students will learn breathe and blow and breaststroke kick.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 2
  • Stage 4 - Students will learn Survival backstroke & breaststroke timing.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 3
  • Stage 5 - Students will learn Breaststroke arms.  Increasing distance in all strokes.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 4
  • Stage 6 - Students will learn Breaststroke full stroke, increasing distances in all strokes.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 5
  • Stage 7 - Students will learn Sidestroke stroke formations with aid & complete 100m swim - all strokes.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 6
  • Stage 8 - Students will learn Butterfly stroke formation, Sidestroke & complete 150m swim- all strokes.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 7
  • Stage 9 - Students will learn Butterfly & complete 250m swim - all strokes.  To enrol students must be competent in Stage 8
  • Stages 10/11/12 - Junior Swim & Survive, Swim & Survive & Senior Swim & Survive 
  • Stages 13/14/15 - Wade Rescue, Accompanied Rescue & Bronze Star

Adults

  • Beginners (No previous experience)
  • Intermediates (Requiring stroke correction and learning new skills).

 

SwimFit Training

Fitness training gives all swimmers the opportunity to continue swimming at a level suitable for their needs.

The fitness program is overseen by qualified staff and caters for junior swim fitness through to senior recreational programs. After an initial assessment, by one of our Leisure World Swim School team members, a recommendation will be made on which group to join.
