Calling all creatives – entries are now open for the 2025 City of Gosnells Community Art Exhibition and Awards.

Since their inception more than 30 years ago, the annual exhibition and awards have showcased and celebrated the work of talented artists from the City of Gosnells and beyond.

“Over the years, the awards have attracted an array of talent who have produced some incredible art, with a selection of pieces on display in the City’s Civic Centre and other facilities,” Mayor Terresa Lynes said.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for the community to support amateur and professional artists and I look forward to seeing the pieces that come through this year.”

A $5,000 prize will be presented to the winner of the Overall Acquisitive Award, with $500 each for the winners of 10 other award categories, which include:

• Oil
• Acrylic
• Pastel, Pencil, Pen and Watercolour
• Photography and Digital Media
• Mixed Media and 3D sculpture
• Youth Award (12 to 17 years)
• The City in Focus Award
• Local Artist

• People's Choice

Taking out last year’s top prize was Eve Wolfe, who captivated judges with a striking portrait of her daughter, titled Forever 18.

All artworks will be judged by the City of Gosnells Public Art Committee, with most pieces on display available for purchase.

This year’s exhibition will be from Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 May, at the Lyal Richardson Hall in The Agonis Building, Gosnells.

Entries close at 4pm on Monday 17 March.
