City to celebrate long-term residents

Residents who have called the City of Gosnells home for 50 years or more are invited to a special morning tea at Mills Park Centre on Thursday 13 August.

The annual Pioneer Celebration is an opportunity for long-term residents to reconnect, share memories of how the City has changed over decades, and celebrate the people and places that have shaped the community.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the inaugural Pioneer Celebration, held last year, was a wonderful success.

“Last year’s Pioneer Celebration was filled with fantastic stories and plenty of laughter, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more of our long-term residents this year,” she said.

“The places we live help shape who we are, and the people who live here help shape our City. The Pioneer Celebration is a chance to recognise and thank those residents who have been part of our community’s story for generations.”
