Community groups, non-profit organisations and sports clubs are encouraged to attend an information session on how to apply for a City of Gosnells Level 2 Community Grant.
The session will be held on Thursday 26 March from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, at the City of Gosnells Civic Centre Function Room. The first 30 minutes will provide an opportunity for networking, with the presentation beginning at 7pm.
Level 2 Community Grants provide up to $10,000 in funding, to be matched by the recipient, to support community projects that deliver long-term benefits to the community. Eligible initiatives include the purchase or upgrade of equipment, minor capital works, community events and programs, and training and professional development for employees and volunteers.
The City invites applications for Level 2 Community Grants twice a year, with the next round opening in April.
The grants program supports initiatives that protect and enhance the environment, build safe, active and healthy communities, strengthen local pride and social connection, or activate vibrant public spaces through arts, culture and community-led projects.
Mayor Terresa Lynes said the information session would also provide details about the Lotterywest Grants Program, in addition to the City’s Community Grants.
“The information session has all the know-how you need to give your grant application an edge, helping your organisation, group or club to achieve its goals,” she said.
Register to attend the information session by emailing info@gosnells.wa.gov.au by 5pm on Thursday 19 March.
