Grab a picnic rug and enjoy a movie under the stars with the return of the City of Gosnells Sunset Cinemas.
Held at sundown over four nights in February and March, the free outdoor movie screenings will take place at various locations across the City.
“Sunset Cinemas is always a popular series of events during the warmer months and it’s a great way for families and friends to spend time together,” Mayor Terresa Lynes said.
“We are lucky to be able to enjoy balmy summer nights in our City – and what better way to spend a few Friday evenings than with an outdoor movie.”
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the first movie will be the popular Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore romcom 50 First Dates, with the added excitement of live music, Paint Your Partner activity and food trucks. This event will be in the grounds of the City of Gosnells Museum at Wilkinson Homestead, which will be open on the night.
The next three family-friendly screenings will be School of Rock on 21 February at Kingsford Way Reserve in Huntingdale, Rio on 7 March at Masters Street Reserve in Kenwick, and Dumbo on 21 March at Yalgan Pass Park in Canning Vale, with food trucks on site and kids’ activities from 5pm – 7pm for each event.
All movies will start 10 minutes after sundown.
Sunset Cinemas are presented by the City of Gosnells in partnership with Perth Airport and sponsored by Optus and Lotterywest.
