Do you know someone who makes a real difference in your local neighbourhood?
Nominations are now open for the 2026 City of Gosnells Neighbour of the Year Award.
The award recognises and celebrates residents who dedicate their time to helping and supporting their neighbours, strengthening connections, and contributing to their local neighbourhood.
Previous award winners have shown an ongoing commitment to building supportive relationships with those around them – especially with vulnerable members of the community.
Mayor Terresa Lynes said the award, now in its fourth year, is an opportunity to acknowledge the City’s unsung heroes and the good work people do for one another.
“Having a good neighbour and feeling a sense of belonging in your local community are more important than ever,” Mayor Lynes said.
Thornlie couple Gary and Suzanne Craik received the 2025 Neighbour of the Year award after fostering community connections and providing a safe, welcoming space for people in need.
Nominations for this year’s award close at 5pm on Monday 2 February 2026. The winner will be announced a week before Neighbour Day, celebrated on Sunday 29 March 2026.
