Mary Carroll Park is a significant environmental asset.
The Eudoria Street hub includes provision of new facilities:
- All abilities playground
- Pedestrian bridge and walkway
- Changing places and accessible public toilets
- Bore with iron filter to remove brown staining
- Parallel parking bays
- Accessible carpark
The park is named after Mary Carroll, a naturalist and former teacher (1923-1956) at the nearby Gosnells Primary School.
The park has become the focus of considerable community interest, with dedicated volunteer input from the Friends of Mary Carroll Park, the Gosnells Primary School, South East Regional Centre of Urban Landcare (SERCUL) and the Armadale-Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG). The City has also collaborated with the Langford Aboriginal Association on the project.
Vision Plan
Based on community input, the plan allows for proposals at specific sites to highlight the diverse environmental and historical story of the park.
