Dig in to make a difference to the local environment, at Give Our Bushland a Boost, from 9am to 12pm on Sunday 21 June.
Community members are invited to help the City and Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group members plant 5,000 native seedlings in the riverpark at the Richard Rushton Community Centre, Baron Way, in Gosnells.
A sausage sizzle will be provided to reward the hard work of volunteers.
Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and bring a water bottle and gloves. On the day, participants should head down to the registration tent at the reserve alongside Richard Rushton Community Centre.
This project is part of the broader Cleaning up the Canning initiative which is funded by the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments Program with the support of the Cities of Armadale, Canning and Gosnells, the Town of Victoria Park, South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare, Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation, Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group, Water Corporation and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
